What to Do About Your Over Sweating Problem

Do you feel that you have an over sweating problem? You are not alone with this problem. Thousands upon thousands of men suffer from this same condition. Many of the men you would never suspect. Here are some of the tips that many men follow, with some success, in their efforts to slow or stop sweating too much.

  • Shower as much as necessary.  Once, twice or even three times a day.  Although this won’t necessarily stop the sweating, it will keep odor under control.
  • Use a deoderant soap in the shower.  Not a moisturizing soap.  You can moisturize the necessary spots separately.
  • Make sure you apply anti-perspirant/deodorant.  For the absolute best made just to ease your sweating, see Stop Sweating on this site. You’ll find some of these great deodorants there.
  • Remove all excess body hair.  Nair works great for many men for this.  Be sure to test a spot on your skin before you apply all over.  Excess hair traps moisture, creating wetness and odor.
  • If you are worried about wetness, you can apply a light dusting of powder a few times throughout the day.  Find one that is made for excess moisture. Don’t worry, not all powders are flowery and girly.
  • Learn some stress-relieving exercises.  You can try deep breathing or some other form of relaxation.   Stress makes sweating worse.  It is a natural reaction.
  • Wear clothes that breath such as cotton.  Avoid materials such as nylon. This is especially true on your way to a stressful or very important event. Wear your lightweight tee until you are in the parking lot. Take some deep breaths. And then put your dress shirt on.

How to Prevent Underarm Wetness

Are you tired of worrying about sweating under your arms? Are you constantly thinking about the embarrassing wet spots under your arms? There are some things you can do to prevent underarm wetness.

First of all, you need to make sure to shower using deoderant soap. This may seem like a no-brainer, but I want to be sure to cover all of the bases! If you need to shower more than once a day, just do it. The peace of mind is worth it.

You can apply a very light dusting of powder to your body and armpits from time to time to relieve moisture problems. Tips to Help You Stop Sweating


If you suffer from excessive sweating, you are probably here looking for tips to help you stop sweating. Especially now that it is so hot outside and sweating has increased.

The first tip is one that I see recommended all of the time. It is simply to find a way to stop worrying about the sweat. The thinking on this is that it only makes the problem worse as you start to stress out. I, personally, don’t see how you wouldn’t worry about it. But if you can find a way to, at least, calm yourself a bit…it might help. Maybe find some deep breathing techniques or something of that nature. This tip is seen so often, I just had to let you know about it.

Another tip to combat the wetness and the odor is to keep body and underarm hair to a minimum. Wherever sweating is an issue, keep that area hair free. Hair traps the wetness and it is then that the odor gets bad.

Wear light colored clothing. This will help you to stay cool. Also make sure you are wearing clothing that allows air to circulate. If air can easily move around your body, it will help to reduce the sweating.

Are you headed to work or an important meeting? Wear a tank top or light undershirt on the way. Change into your dress shirt when you arrive. Make sure your dress clothing is not too tight and made of a breathable material like cotton. Avoid material like nylon. You can find some tips more specifically for underarm sweat here.

Extreme temperature changes can cause your body to suddenly sweat. For example, when you leave the hot weather outside and go into a very cool, air-conditioned building…you may find that even though the temperature is not hot anymore, you will sweat.

Apply anti-perspirant/deoderant. You will need the combination of the two. Not one or the other. Make sure the anti-perspirant you choose contains 20 percent aluminum zirconium tetrachlorohydrex. This is supposed to be the highest amount you can get without a prescription. Need something more? Ask your doctor about prescription strength. Many swear by Secret Clinical Strength Anti-perspirant/Deoderant. The trick is to apply at night as well. Gillette Clinical Strength Anti-perspirant/Deoderant is also very effective and is made in different scents geared toward men.

Does your entire body sweat? Shower using anti-perspirant/deoderant soap and do so at least twice a day. End with a cool blast over your entire body. This may help to close your pores. Every little bit helps when you want to stop sweating! Once dry and out of the shower, dust your body all over very lightly with a body powder.

To help you avoid some of the smells, avoid garlic and spicy foods.
